Startup  by Doree Shafrir is a look in to the world of 20-somethings and how they approach life. As a 30-something I found this book interesting and funny at times.  The use of acronyms, the approach that adult life should still be like college, and the lack of separations between work and outside of work life was all portrayed though this novel.  The ending did leave me wanting more but overall this was a good book.

Book Club - September

I am excited to announce the book we will read in September. This one has been on my to be read list since it came out and after reading several reviews on it I decided to make it our September read.  Check out Things You Save in a Fire  by Katherine Center.

An Absolutely Remarkable Thing by Hank Green

An Absolutely Remarkable Thing by Hank Green is a fun, quick read.  It follows the story of April May and her accidental discovery of a ten-foot tall statue of a Transformer wearing a samurai armor in New York City. April and her friend, Andy, set out and make a video of this structure and it quickly becomes viral.  April and Andy quickly learn that this statue has a lot of secrets and is more than it appears to be.  If you are looking for a quick read and enjoy a slight science fiction/fantasy element then this book is for you.
